A major automotive parts supplier was caught between rising air freight costs and ocean shipping times that were too slow for their just-in-time manufacturing requirements. They needed a solution that balanced speed, cost, and reliability for their regular shipments from Chengdu to their assembly plant in Germany. We proposed our China-Europe rail express service with fixed weekly block train departures and GPS-enabled tracking throughout the 18-day transit. Over a 12-month period, we shipped 120 containers of precision components with zero transit delays and zero cargo damage, saving the client approximately 40% in logistics costs compared to their previous air freight solution. The success of this route has since been expanded to include shipments to their secondary plant in Poland.
